I rode my motorbike to and from school 5 days a week. Sometimes when I needed to run errand, I would ride my bike. But I always wear a helmet with a visor to protect my face as well. The worst accident that I had happened on the eve of 2000. I was riding my bike and all of a sudden, out of nowhere a dog dashed past barely a foot in front of me! I swerved my bike to avoid hitting the creature but I lost control. I flew over the bike and rolled on the ground a few times before I hit the pavement curb! I was lucky that my helmet was of a sturdy kind, if not, I won't be writing this response here today. I would have died as it was very early in the morning and I was the lone motorist! Superficial wounds will heal but that trauma has left an indelible mark on my psyche. I drive after that!ScottLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13799433967269817136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1274299963162134114.post-10823568675816777022011-04-06T12:13:10.836-07:002011-04-06T12:13:10.836-07:00That is one sad story Bao-Bao. I suspect that same...That is one sad story Bao-Bao. I suspect that same scenario and worse is played out daily throughout Thailand and indeed the world.

If you are going to ride a motorbike, no matter what size, you have to realise you will always come off second best when you confront a car or truck. That's simply a matter of fact.

I will remember this next time someone says to, "just catch a motocy taxi".

Cheers
Keithkrobbienoreply@blogger.com
