Visakha Puja is the day most Buddhists recognize as the day the Buddha was born, reached enlightenment and rose to Nirvana. The Day of Vesak, or Visakha Puja, falls on the full moon of the sixth lunar month, falling this year (2553/2010) on May 28th in For my Buddhist friends everywhere who will observe Visakha Puja today: I wish you peace.
