BaoBao, I too have a couple of shots of life on the river in these modest dwellings. Some look like they are going to topple into the river at any moment and God knows how they are getting along with the present flooding and high tides to boot.
As the river has risen 2.5 meters I would say that that doesn't allow for too much free-board between the the floor of the house and the top of the river.
Such is life upon the Chao Phraya. I love this river which is why Bobey and I stay so close to it.
If we have a free day, we get on the cheap ferry and just go up and down for a few hours taking in the nuances around and about.
I might be boring but I'm easily fascinated. LOL.
I hope your illness is just a fleeting thing. Don't bust your ass to post ... it's your blog ... don't panic. No-one died.
Thanks for the well wishes, guys. It wasn't fun, but it's only lasted five days and seems to have broken overnight last night. Nastiest head cold I've had in a decade, so maybe I'll be free of them for a while.

hope you feel better soon. Those clothes look very clean.. they must have been washed in clean water.. and not the water beneath them.
